Bahamas Relief Initiatives

This year, The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida are focusing on giving back by joining forces to support the Bahamas in post-Dorian relief efforts in the Abacos and Grand Bahama through #FLIBS4Bahamas initiatives ONE Bahamas and Mission of Hope.

The ONE Bahamas Fund supports both immediate recovery needs and important long-term rebuilding initiatives in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian’s catastrophic devastation and destruction. ONE Bahamas focuses on providing temporary and low-cost shelter and housing, clothing, food, educational support and rebuilding efforts in the community through infrastructure and seed funding for Bahamian businesses. 

Mission of Hope is a relief mission led by True North, a 110-foot vessel equipped with specialty teams to aid in housing and medical care that has been deployed to Marsh Harbour in the Abacos.

Proceeds from both the 2nd Annual Sunset Soiree and Yacht Chef Competition and the Boat raffle for a Pioneer Sportfish 180 will benefit these efforts to support our Bahamian neighbors.
